STARTERS

Cucumber Quest     by Gigi D.G.

Follow a brother-sister duo on their quest (and at school) to save their kingdom. Despite the title, our questers are bunnies, not cucumbers. This series is full of action, snacks, and heroic feats. Try this as a starter and you’ll be hooked on webcomics forever after.

Copper    by Kazu Kibuishi
If you read and loved Kibuishi's Amulet series, this starter webcomic is for you. Copper and Fred (his dog) do everything together, from fishing trips to fighting robots. You can read one, or you can read them all. Each chapter is just one page long!

Bird and Moon    by Rosemary Mosco
Scroll through this pictures-only webcomic to discover the secret life of a bird who makes friends with the moon. You may never look at birds the same way again. If you are in the mood for a quick and delightful read, this is the starter for you.

MAIN COURSE

Delilah Dirk and the Turkish Lieutenant    by Tony Cliff
Escape into Delilah's adventures on her flying ship.  This webcomic is equal parts historical fiction and action-packed adventure. Look familiar? We have the print copy at GV!

Deadendia    by Hamish Steele
Barney (yes, he is named after the terrifying purple dinosaur) goes to work for a haunted house that doubles as a portal to Hell. Join him on an adventure that will bend time, space, and friendship. Look familiar? We have the print version of this book at GV!

Scared by the Bell    by Dylan Campbell
If you liked Jerry Craft's graphic novel New Kid, you might like this webcomic. You'll find Peter, the new kid at school, but you'll also find aliens and vampires. Campbell created this webcomic in English and Spanish. Click here for the English version, and click here for the Spanish version.

On A Sunbeam    by Tillie Walden
Not sure about SciFi? The creator of this webcomic said she never liked science fiction, so she wrote a story about space, instead. This webcomic has quite possibly the most beautifully designed website the world has ever seen.

DESSERT

Breaking Cat News    by Georgia Dunn
This webcomic is home to the news as reported by Elvis, Puck, Tommy, and Lupin. These hilarious cat reporters will bring you all the week's news...that matters to cats. Dunn has also posted coloring pages and other "freebies" to download.

In Search of Water Boiled Fish    by Angie Wang
Will there be any actual food on this menu? Yes! This scrolling webcomic is about Wang's search for the soup she loved when she was growing up. The proportions of people to food are flipped; Wang's characters are tiny and the food is huge!

Solstoria    by Angelica Maria
When Samantha was very young, her brother went missing. Her dream to train as a knight at the Royal Academy might also help her solve the mystery about her brother's disappearance. This webcomic updates every Wednesday.

Webcomics: A How-To Guide

  • Click the name of the webcomic you'd like to read from our menu to be linked to the very beginning of that webcomic.
  • Some webcomics are made to scroll through, and some have pages that you need to "turn" by clicking an arrow.
  • Look for little arrows at the top, bottom, or sides of the artwork. If there are two sets of arrows, one means "next page" and the other means "bring me to the latest comics!"
  • Don't worry! If you click the wrong arrow, you can always go back to the Archive to find your spot!
  • Webcomics are usually updated each week or month-- it's all up to the creator! Look for this info on the creator's page or the webcomic's home page.
